GOOD BYE SUMMER, HELLO FALL
How is there not only three months left in this year… but there’s only three months left in this DECADE?
My goal in life is to enjoy every day. Live in the moment. But let’s be honest, that’s really tough to do sometimes. Especially in this day and age. As such, I do feel like this year has been a whirlwind. As I’m enjoying one moment, I’m simultaneously planning the next one.
Summer was a whirlwind. It was a lot of fun, though, and I didn’t really want to see it come to an end.
My niece graduated high school.
The brewery I work at moved.
I photographed a wedding in Pigeon Forge.
I actually got to spend a day on the lake.
My husband was on the road on a long tour more than he was home. And somehow we managed to squeak out a couple trips just for ourselves before diving into the Fall madness.
I’m only hitting the highest high points of the last few months with this. I photographed several other events. I had eight teeth extracted. (EIGHT!!!) I recently attended my 20 year reunion. And I lost one of my aunts — my mom’s only sister.
It has been A LOT. Life comes at you fast, and I think we’re all just trying to do the best we can. Take it all in. Deal with the lows. Revel in the highs. Some days are harder than others. Some days are more spectacular. They all make up this thing called life.
So as I look out at the next few months, I see that I’ve already jam packed October and over half of November. I’m sure December will fill up fast as well. I have very few days like today at home, trying to do things that get put on the back burner. Taking a little time for me.
But in all of it, I’ll enjoy every crazy moment. Show me what you have, Fall. I’m ready.
